A circus camp retreat you will NOT want to miss!
May 15th-18th 2020
Early-bird and Single Day Pass tickets on SALE Dec 1st!
This intimate circus camp retreat is located on beautiful Vancouver Island at Camp Barnard in Sooke, British Columbia. This breathtaking location is surrounded by nature and situated on Young Lake where we will host ground based prop manipulation workshops, yoga, acrobatics, float parties, dance parties, Showcase and much more. Don’t forget your floaty and swimsuit! It will be a prop-filled weekend with many other fun activities to enjoy, including a Saturday night FIRE circle!
WCCC is inclusive to families with kids 16 and older. You have the option to hitch a tent, or stay in one of our simple cabins equipped with eight bunks per cabin. The cabin circles have a lovely fire pit that will keep your marshmallows toasted and give you warmth all weekend long! Meals are provided, as well as good washroom facilities, including hot showers.
This event has two goals in mind: Inclusion and Community. The retreat is for every prop manipulator to expand their repertoire of tricks, try new props, and skill share with the top performers, instructors, and vendors on the West Coast.
This is a leave-no-trace event! In the spirit of being an environmental-friendly retreat, please bring your own plate, bowl, cutlery, travel mug and water bottle!
WCCC is a volunteer community: the dedication and care that our attendees put into the event creates lasting friendships and strong community spirit. Each ticket holder is required to sign up for one short volunteer shift over the course of the weekend to contribute towards the success of the event. Tickets and volunteer positions will open in December.
Workshops include Clowning, Hoop Dance, Fire Fans and Silk Fans, Stilt, Temple Dance with Palm Candles, Learn to Burn, Clubs, Hat, Balls and Contact Juggling, poi and more!
There will be a shuttle set up to drive people from Swartz Bay ferry on Friday the 15th and return them back to the ferry on Monday the 18th.
